Mission Statement:

The Global Alliance of Urology Nurses seeks to foster a global urology nursing alliance to promote excellence, share knowledge, and set standards for quality urological nursing practice and patient education.

Objectives:

• Provide a united voice of urology nursing to the world and seek methods to raise global awareness on the positive role that urological nurses provide to society.

• Facilitate the ongoing development of standards for urological nurse education and practice.

• Create initiatives to support the sharing of resources, nursing education program contents.

• Provide opportunities for colleagues to attend urology nursing education programs across the globe.

• Create, utilize and strengthen links between organizations and nurses across the world to enhance holistic and evidence based urological nursing theory and practice.

• Create mechanisms for the standardization of the components that represent urological nursing expertise and support debate on ways in which such components could be used to develop and implement globally agreed methods of certifying expert urological nursing practice.

• Provide quality education to patients and the community through sharing of best practice initiatives, guidelines and materials.

• Identify opportunities for the establishing and fostering of mentoring and fellowship programs for urological nurses throughout the globe.
